To ensure you can move freely on the bike, Held utilizes a sophisticated stretch concept:

• Freedom of Movement: Special stretch panels at the inner arm, crotch, and calf, as well as leather stretch inserts above the elbows and knees, guarantee a perfect fit in the riding position.

• Cuffs: Comfortable cuffs made of stretch material prevent pressure points.

• Size Variety: Available in standard, short (stocky), and long (tall) sizes, as well as specific cuts for women for an individual fit.

Safety is the top priority for the Spire 2. The suit meets the demanding test standard EN 17092:2020 with the classification AAA (highest protection class for leather garments).

  • Shoulder & Elbow: D3O® T5 EvoProX Soft Protectors (Level 2, EN 1621-1:2012).

  • Knee: Height-adjustable D3O® T5 EvoProX Soft Protectors (Level 2, EN 1621-1:2012).

  • Hip: D3O® T5 EvoProX Hip Protectors (Level 2, EN 1621-1:2012).

• Construction: Safety seams and double leather reinforcement at the seat strengthen critical zones. A metal connection zipper securely links the jacket and trousers.

• Upgradeable: Velcro preparations for a chest protector and knee sliders are included. Pockets for back, rib, and tailbone protectors allow for a safety upgrade.

Is the Held Spire 2 waterproof?

No, the Spire 2 is a sporty leather suit and is not waterproof. For rides in the rain, we recommend wearing a separate rain jacket/trousers over the suit.

Can I retrofit a back protector?

Yes, the suit features a pocket for a back protector (tested according to EN 1621-2:2014). This is sold separately and is not included in the delivery scope.

What does "eVest ready" mean?

This means the suit is cut and prepared so that electronic airbag vests from Held (eVest Clip-in or eVest PRO) can be worn underneath without restricting freedom of movement or compromising the fit.

What special sizes is the suit available in?
